A visit from the grandparents

When Walker was born, there was an ice/snow storm in the upper Carolinas and West Virginia that prevented my parents from coming up and seeing their grandson. Then, every time we planned something, weather intervened.

Last week, my parents and their dog, Rocky, made the trip up from Greenville, SC to the boy for the first time. So, I took a few days off work and we had a great visit. We sent them home with some pictures to hang up and to display with pride.

And Grandma and Papa love their little guy … and it was great to see them.

Just Liza being Liza

There's a Columbus mattress business that has a commercial -- check that, annoying commercial -- with a really obnoxious voice-over that Kelsey and I make fun of all the time. Liza has apparently seen it and has an idea of how the guy who does the voice-over might look like while doing it.

And she nailed it.

Happy Valentine's Day

The sweetest little guy that I know wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day.

He woke up all smiles for mommy and was giving out kisses and hugs. Such a perfect Valentine's Day gift!

Rolling over

As promised I managed to get a video of Walker rolling over. I shot the video on Sunday. It was a good thing that I did because he hasn't really rolled over much since, at least not when I have the camera out!

Walker's newest accomplishments

I can hardly believe he is already 6 1/2 weeks old. He has really been growing and changing every day. He surprises me and does new things every day. Walker has had a very exciting week this week.

Early in the week he rolled over from his belly to his back. I thought it was just a fluke seeing how he is only six weeks old. But Today he repeated this trick about four times and I wasn't the only one to witness it. I am hoping to get it on camera so I can share it with everyone.

He also started sleeping through the night. Tuesday he went for a whopping 6 1/2 hours between feedings at night. Since then he has been consistently going 5 hours between feedings at night. So we can only hope that he continues and becomes a great sleeper like his momma! And he also continues to be a morning person. Some days he will wake up around 6 and not want to go back to sleep. But he is always full of smiles and ready to chat in the mornings so I can't really complain.

He wanted to say hi to a few people so I helped him make a video.
